Praise for the Moonsongs series
"You won't find any romantic, skinny, sparkling werewolves here. What you will find is something scary and atmospheric like King's "Cycle of the Werewolf" that will leave you wanting more." Michael Offutt, author of Slipstream
"-- a tense story with some unique elements. A very good read!" Alex J. Cavanaugh, Bestselling Author of CassaFire and CassaStar
"--reminds me of t.v. episodes; short, sweet, resolved in under an hour. But I’m talking good, interesting t.v.. The kind that draws you in and leaves you eagerly awaiting next week's episode." Books & Things Blog
"The writing is amazing - even in just a few short pages, you can see that right off the bat. It really engages you in the story and keeps you reading along until the end." Missy's Reads & Reviews Blog
"Blood Fugue has one of those endings that you least expect, giving it that "OMG" reaction." Insane About Books Blog

Witch Nocturne Moonsongs 2 edition by EJ Wesley Literature Fiction eBooks
Witch's Nocturne is #2 in a series that may end up one of the most enjoyable collections of novellas I read in this lifetime. In Blood Fugue, #1 of the series, we meet the protagonist. We find her to be smart, sassy, and a bad-ass in the making. We also meet her unwitting side-kick Marshal.
Fast forward several months since I read Blood Fugue, and we get to Witch's Nocturne. Jenny Moonsong, as she now prefers, is still smart and sassy. She is less angry and more in control. She still can't pay her bills, but she has begun to find her place in the world. Marshal is still Marshal, but also beginning to find his niche as a side kick. With all this happy, settling in of our heroes, the entrance of her sworn enemy is just bound to happen, right? And yes, right on cue, Wesley introduces an antagonist who has enough mystery about her to drive this edition to the series and be a problem for Jenny Moonsong into the foreseeable future. Also into the future, there are family secrets to unravel, dead bodies to find, fingerless villains to track, hints of magical powers to use, an income to secure and water bills to pay.
Each installment of this series takes only a few hours to read. But each leaves you hungrily waiting for the next.

Witch Nocturne Moonsongs 2 edition by EJ Wesley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
There must be some special components to these novella series. I have no idea how a read so light and small can still leave me so satisfied. Of course, I wish they were longer, but the author seems to be doing just fine with novellas.
You can read this book without having previously read Blood Fugue, but seriously why would you do that? I mean.. Blood Fugue is only 45 pages. ( Just sayin'. Book one flowed smoothly into book two as well, even if it does not pick up exactly where one left off.
In this book, I got to learn more about Jenny and Marshall and I must say, they are still rather enjoyable, especially when they don't get along. I got to see a bit of a progression in character for Jenny (as much as can be expected in a novella) and she is pretty badass, now. I was super excited for the addition of more characters in the book. There was basically around four characters in book one. While it was nice, I needed more! hehe. And I am rather pleased with the additions, if only for the fact they may stir up a little trouble. *wiggles eyebrows* Bring it on. I wonder what will happen in book three? (
Story starts out good, gets your attention, but then when it ends, you are totally let down. This seems to be more of a "story" than a book. Had the chance to be a good Book and then just Stops.
I thoroughly enjoyed book 1 of the Moonsongs saga and number 2 is more of the same. In fact, Wesley's writing improves as the story progresses. I'm anxious to start book 3 and see what trouble Jenny will find next.
Different, unique, believable characters well worth the read. The lead character is a tough young woman with a gay, male sidekick.
Once again, a fast read, with twists and turns.
Jenny and Marshall team up once again, try to make sense of her grandfather's journal and go on a witch hunt.
I love the way Jenny and Marshall complement each other... and Jenny meets a new friend!
Plenty of action!
Short--much shorter than I like. But the stories are written in a nice style, and the characters are interesting, even given the short length.
I wasn't sure after the first book If I'd continue with the series, but it has tweaked my interest. I enjoy the ethnic paranormal aspect of the series. I just feel that it could be a whole lot better if the books were long enough to deepen the World Building.
Jenny is a werewolf hunter. She's snarky, a computer nerd, a gamer, and doesn't think much for academics and paying her bills on time. She has a side kick. Marshall. The total opposite of her. Conservative and academically inclined. The two personalities are great together when they go to investigate allegations of a possible plan to poison a whole town instigated by a witch coven.
Loved it! Loved the paranormal theme.Loved the humor and witty remarks. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. Literally! The build up to the climax rocked.
The best of this book was how E.J. introduced us to two new characters. Rushdam and Sarah. Both librarians at a college library. Both subtle and unsuspecting characters. The climax was the biggest surprise of all. That's all I'm going to say about that. I don't want to spoil a great read.
