This book was a delightful surprise. The characters were believable and the story was very engaging. As a casual reader it takes a considerable amount of interest for me to continue reading a book. The story in the sleepy town of Resolution did the trick for me. The main character's interactions with the public and his subsequent thought process were very real. The detail was not over done that your mind had the chance to wander. Love interests in stories have always been a low point for me (it's never realistic and the women have always been 'weak'), however, you'll find a strong woman behind the main character who is believable in her responses. I recommend this book to casual and hardcore readers alike. You'll enjoy a fast-paced, believable story filled with witty enjoyable characters. Good job Ty!

Wow. A great read. The battle of good versus evil in a small town with a supernatural experience. Definitely a great story line and would love to see it adapted in a movie.

Tyner Gillies has written a fantastic book that combines the paranormal and crime scene investigation! Tyner definately shows his experience as a police officer and delves into the world of putting the clues together to solve a mysterious string of murders...what you don't realize until your drawn into his world is that there is something much more sinister in the small Canadian town of Resolution.
His characterizations are fresh, descriptions are vivid and the story is compelling! You will not want to put it down.
I cannot wait for the next book from Tyner Gillies!

Great debut from a promising author! The suspense is gripping, the pacing is tight, and the dialogue really makes the characters shine. Overall, an ideal blend of suspense and action, with just the right amount of paranormal thrown in for good measure.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great characters described such that I felt I knew them. The book is fast paced, full of action and I couldn't stop reading it. Kinda sad it had to end but I'm now starting the second book, Dark Resolution, with anticipation of another thrilling journey. Congratulations Tyner, great job!
I enjoyed this book a lot! It was full of suspense & likeable characters. Not big on foul language but probably reasonable due to setting. Great ending.
Sit down, switch off the cell phone and prepare for a gripping good time. This book takes you on a journey that few would wish to follow in real life. Yet...is it perhaps based on some truth. Those who have walked the walk might not be so quick to dismiss the supernatural . A great read. I look forward to more from this author.
I have read hundreds of books, and this is the first time I was so drawn into a story that I literally could not put it down. I read this book cover to cover in one day. From the start the characters grab ahold of you and don't let go. I was actually upset that it ended, and hope and pray that there is another installment to this story. I am reminded of Stephen King in the way I was able to actually see in my mind everything in the story. If you are looking for a story that will pull at all of your emotions this is it. Well done Mr. Gillies! I cant wait for your next book!
